The 2009 Summer Enrichment Program will begin on Monday, June 8th and go through Friday, July 31st with the week of June 29th through July 3rd off for the 4th of July holiday week. We have not yet secured a location, but are checking out several different possibilities. Check back over the next couple of months for more information.

We are in session Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Tuition for the Summer Program is $1,500 total per student or $225 per week. At Special LINKS your child will receive self-help, community, travel safety and life skills training, along with participation in adapted sports activities, which could include gymnastics, tennis, basketball, soccer, bowling and much more.

Functional academics are also incorporated into all day-to-day activities. For instance, we might be cooking spaghetti with salad and garlic bread on Friday, so Monday could be used to develop the menu and make a list of the ingredients that would be needed. Then Thursday might be used to either walk or ride the RTD bus to the grocery store to purchase the necessary the items on the menu and then we do the actual cooking and eating on Friday. It's a great time, a lot is learned in the process and everyone gets to participate!
