1. Tell us about your experience with children.

2. Tell us about your experience with children who have special needs.

3. Some students may need support with personal needs, such as eating, feeding and bathrooming. What is your experience and how do you feel about learning and carrying out responsibilities of this nature?

4. Some students may need behavioral support and to learn skills which will help them become more successful socially. How are you able to learn and follow through with these types of interventions.

5. Respect and dignity are of the utmost importance when working with and teaching students with special needs. Why do you think these are important attributes?

6. The best method of learning the para-educator position is "on the job training". At Special LINKS this is achieved by modeling and written instruction from the program director and special educators. How will this method benefit you?

7. If you were in a situation where you felt that the student's safety was in jeopardy, how would you handle it?

8. Are you willing and able to work within a team. Are you able to learn from others and contribute to the team? Are you able to take directives from supervisors and how to you ask for help from a supervisor or team leader?

9. Why do you think it is important to work within a team?

10. How do you resolve conflict in the work place?

11. Are you able to lift 50 pounds by yourself and are you able to life 100 pounds with another person?
